Our beautiful outdoor ceremony setting is close to club house facilities and is a beautiful spot to say your ’I dos’ in front of your loved ones.
This area is held exclusively for your special moments with staff on hand to prevent any interruptions or interferences. Not only that but the location hosts a spectacular natural backdrop and manicured lawns to make for a stunning setting.
Clear signage is positioned so that your guests have no problem in finding your ceremony location on arrival.
Parking is available to accommodate those who have travelled as well as an access route for vehicles to take you only meters from your ceremony, for those wishing to arrive in style!
The Mackay Golf Club boasts some of the most luscious and picturesque landscapes in the region and we can provide some truly unique and breathtaking photograph opportunities for you and your bridal party.
You will be escorted to each location by our club chaperone with full use of the clubs electric buggies*. Number of people to attend each photo location will need to be arranged prior to the day.
Refreshments can be provided upon request.
We encourage all organisers and photographers to visit the Mackay Golf Club to “scout” each location to your liking prior to the event. Contact us to arrange your visit.

While you and your Bridal party are busy capturing memories, your guests will be comfortably entertained at our private outdoor alfresco area with bar services available.
Our chef can serve your choice of canapés and light music is provided.
After the photographs are taken and your guests have made their way into the reception hall, the Mackay Golf Club provides you and your Bridal Party the private use of the club’s dressing rooms.
This is the perfect chance to take a breath, refresh and prepare for your grand entrance. Your choice of refreshments will be provided.
Our reception hall is a beautiful space with plenty of room for a dance floor.
We have ample room to comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests.
The area can be decorated to your exact taste and style – your chosen decorator will have full access to the reception hall on the day of your wedding.
Our talented in-house Chef will prepare a delectable delight and a vast range of culinary options to suit.
The club’s bar service can cater to any number. The Bridal and Parents tables will be provided with table service. Full table service is available for all guests upon request.

YOUR BOOKING WITH MACKAY GOLF CLUB INC. IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Will be held for a period of two weeks (14 days) only, after which time the booking can be released by Mackay Golf Club inc. and the room made available to other interested parties.
All bookings must be confirmed in writing with signed booking confirmation. Security deposit will need to be paid within 2 days of confirmation being received. Please note that your booking is not confirmed until the terms and conditions are signed and returned to the functions staff at Mackay Golf Club Inc. and deposit has been received.
Please note that minimum numbers will apply to our packages. Should your numbers fall below our minimum, please ask us about alternate package options. Minimum numbers are based on full paying adults only. Children and teenagers are additional to this.
All functions over the minimum guest requirements are entitled to the no hall hire special. If your event falls under this number a hire fee will be required additional to the security deposit .
Ceremony and photography package can only be offered in conjunction with a booked reception. This additional package includes 2 x motorised buggy hire and 1.5 hrs on course chaperone. Extra buggies can be hired, please talk to our function staff about costings. Time additional to the 1.5 hrs will be charged at $20 per half hour. Under no circumstances will any decorations or props cause damage to any part of the golf course or surrounds.
Use of rice and /or confetti is prohibited, flower petals are allowed providing they are all collected and disposed of at the end of ceremony.
Mackay Golf Club inc. requires a $200 fully refundable security deposit on all events/conferences/weddings, and will be refunded on the next business day after event providing the following requirements have been met:
1. NO additional cleaning charges are required;
2. NO damage has occurred to any part of the Clubhouse or grounds including walls, doors, windows and furnishings, tee signs or flags;
3. NO unreasonable number of glasses were lost, damaged or broken.
Preferred date requests are subject to availability for either lunch and evening events.
Should you wish to cancel your event, we require written notice a minimum of (4) four weeks prior to your event and full security deposit will be returned.
If cancelled within (4) weeks of your event being held full security deposit will be forfeited.
If Mackay Golf Club is unable to proceed with your booking due to any reason beyond Mackay Golf Club Inc. reasonable control (e.g. fire or flooding), then Mackay Golf Club Inc. has the right to cancel your booking and Mackay Golf Club will return your deposit. Mackay Golf Club will have no further liability for such cancellation.
Final numbers are required two weeks (14 days) prior to the function.
Final payment of all hire/additional charges must be received minimum (4) four weeks prior to function.
All beverages and bar tab requirements must be confirmed (4) four weeks prior to event. Upgrades and additional funds can be added to the bar tab during your event however must be settled on the night via credit card.
Additional charges apply for the following services. Fees are available on request.
- Table and chairs and set up
- Full table service for reception
- Projector (no screen, no time restraints)
The client assumes all responsibility for all damage and injuries caused by them or any of their guests, invitees, or other people attending the function at request or invitation of the client, including entertainers and contractors, in any part of the club.
General and normal cleaning is included in the cost of the room hire, however additional charges may be payable if the function has created cleaning needs above and beyond normal cleaning.
The client is responsible for conducting the function in an orderly manner and in full compliance with the rules and house policy of the Club’s management and all applicable laws. We reserve the right to intervene if a function’s activities are considered illegal, noisy, dangerous or offensive.
The Mackay Golf Club will take all necessary care but will not accept responsibility for damage or loss of any client’s or visitor’s property in the venue, during or after a function.
