The first introduction to Professional golf tournaments at the Mackay Golf Club took the form of official State competitions such as the Queensland Close Championships and the Queensland Professional Golf Championships. It was not until 1987 that the Club began holding an annual tournament as part of the Queensland Sunshine Circuit. |
